Ahmad Masa’deh’s political career began in 2004 when he held the position of Minister for Public Sector Reform. Between 2006 and 2010, Ahmad Masa’deh was the 7th Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the European Union, Belgium, Norway and Luxembourg. He was also the Jordanian Coordinator to the Union for the Mediterranean and Jordan’s Representative to NATO. In January 2010, Ahmad Masa’deh was elected Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean. From 2000 to 2004 he was Managing Partner of Khalaf Masa’deh & Partners, one of the leading Jordanian law firms. From 2000 to 2005 he was Assistant Professor of International Business Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Jordan. His legal and business career led him to be appointed as Member of the Board of the Council of the World Trade Law Association in London 2000-03, Member of the Board of Royal Jordanian Airlines 2005-06, and Member of the Panels of Arbitrators of the World Bank (International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes ICISD) 2001-07.
